Luciana's Birthday Party

Little Lucy is quite young to be blogging. She'll be learning as she goes. First post is that Luciana was born July 6, 2008 at 2:20 am. Mom did a wonderful job. Lucy weighed a healthy 7 lbs and 7 ounces and is 20 inches long. Dad is tired, so don't expect much from this one. In fact, just be happy you got something at all. I hear that other pictures can be found at her cousin's sight: http://emersynk.blogspot.com/

Dad gets into the act.

The first official visitors were Luke and his mother. They brought the new mother's first wish- a hairbrush.

First visit by grandma Tata.

New baby and new mom, sharing a moment.

She has claws like a wolverine. Now we are forced to cover her feet with nothing, and her hands with socks. Seems a little backward.

Grandma Linda's first look at the new baby, after driving straight from New York through hell (Washington DC) and high water (thunderstorms) and arriving to a power outage at our house, followed by a joys of carsick dog.

Grandpa Bill is getting his bearings...

... just like riding a bike.

Lucy getting her first lecture.

Three generations of women.

This is the ideal for which we are striving.

It was so nice to meet you Lucy. You were so sweet to let me drop by. Toolsi is also anxious to meet you and I hope you will extend to her the same courtesy. In the meantime, give your father a hard time in all ways possible. Please do take it easy on your mommy though.

Welcome, little one. I wish I could have been there to welcome you in person.
You don't know it yet, but you're a very lucky little lady. You have a great mother and a wonderful father (even if he's a little awkward changing diapers).
Love to all,
Grandpa

We're so thrilled for you all. It's awesome being parents (and grandparents), so don't miss a moment, but get some rest now while you can, cause the rest will be the tough part. We wish we could be there with you to celebrate.
Enjoy!
Blessings,
Uncle Robert & Beth

Hello little Lucy- how adorable
Congratulations to the brand new parents and grandparents.
A new baby requires lots of love and attention as you adjust you lives into three parts instead of two, but it will be well worth it.
We wish you great success and happiness. Can't wait to see the little cutie pie. The pictures are simply adorable. love and kisses
