Luciana Makes it Home

Luciana and Lauren spent just one night in the hospital until they were freed to come home at around 8 pm last night. The baby slept wonderfully and so did the parents. Today, she spent all day on her new screened porch. Tomorrow she has her first doctor's appointment. Now, for pictures...

Dad is showing off his swaddling skills now. Actually, she has no desire to have her arms down at her side, like all of the professional swaddlers tell you. She seems most comfortable with her arms at guard in a boxing match.

Out in the fresh air for the first time as mother and baby. This is why I bought a station wagon 8 years ago!

Luciana in her nursery. The little rainforest music box on the crib is awesome. She demanded it be played for at least an hour last night. Every time it stopped, she got cranky.

Uncle Just Jonas made it over tonight to annoy the baby and ate dinner with us. Then he went for a walk with the new dad and they got rained on.

Now, Luciana is resting in Grandma Linda's arms and I'm going for a bowl of ice cream.
