luci became fast friends with a sweet boy named troy - they played together for about 2 hours - every time a wave would come close to the sand castle, luci would run screaming up the beach

then they played a game which involved switching hats and acting goofy

the beach really tires the little one out - normally she does not sleep during the day - but she conked out in the car on the way downtown and slept on kai for about an hour while we stopped at a restaurant river-side

we kept trying to use the pool at the hotel, but each time we were ready to take a dip, we'd hear thunder in the distance - so we settled on some mini-golf instead
